- Key fact: On 1 October 2026 FE CashCalc's own page priced an adviser licence at £80 a month plus VAT with a free paraplanner licence, and Voyant's UK page priced AdviserGo at £175 a month per adviser and £100 a month per auxiliary user. For two advisers and one paraplanner that is £1,920 a year plus VAT against £5,400 a year.

For a firm with two advisers and one paraplanner, FE CashCalc costs £1,920 a year plus VAT at its published price and Voyant AdviserGo costs £5,400 a year. Both figures come from the vendors' own pricing pages, read in a browser on 1 October 2026.

## What each vendor publishes

| Item | FE CashCalc (FE fundinfo) | Voyant |
|---|---|---|
| Adviser licence | £80 a month plus VAT | AdviserGo: £175 a month |
| Paraplanner or assistant | Free with every individual adviser licence | Auxiliary user: £100 a month, for assistants and paraplanners who are not registered as advisers |
| Client access | No separate price on the page we read | ClientGo: £175 a month for the first 25 client licences, £100 a month for each further 25 |
| Document store | No separate price on the page we read | Vault: £3 a month per client |
| Firm branding | No separate price on the page we read | White labelling: £750 set-up, then £60 a month |
| Larger firms | Group licences by quote | Enterprise options listed without a price; Snapshot dashboard "price available upon request" |
| VAT | Stated as extra | Not stated on the page |
| Free trial | Not mentioned on the page we read | Offered on the page |

Voyant's page does not say whether its prices include VAT. Ask, because the answer moves the gap. At the standard rate of 20%, an advice firm that cannot recover VAT pays £2,304 a year for the FE CashCalc seats, not £1,920.

## The sums for one firm

The example firm is the one used in our [back-office price check](https://aeolookup.com/financial-advisers/adviser-back-office-software-prices-published/): two advisers, one paraplanner, three other staff who do not build cashflow plans.

| Line | FE CashCalc | Voyant |
|---|---|---|
| Two adviser licences | £80 × 2 × 12 = £1,920 plus VAT | £175 × 2 × 12 = £4,200 |
| One paraplanner | £0 | £100 × 12 = £1,200 |
| Core cost a year | £1,920 plus VAT | £5,400 |
| Client access for up to 25 clients | not priced separately | £175 × 12 = £2,100 |
| With client access | £1,920 plus VAT | £7,500 |

The core gap is £5,400 less £1,920, which is £3,480 a year before any VAT difference. If the firm also stored documents for 100 clients in Voyant's Vault, that would add £3 × 100 × 12, or £3,600 a year.

For a sole adviser the figures are £960 a year plus VAT (£80 × 12) and £2,100 a year (£175 × 12).

## What the price does not tell you

The forum where paraplanners discuss software has asked this question for years. On 1 October 2026 its Technology and IT listing showed "Best Cashflow" at 1.2K views and 6 comments, "CashCalc vs Voyant" at 924 views and 1 comment, and "Best cashflow tool 2024" at 861 views and 5 comments. None of the three threads gives a figure in pounds for either product. They argue about depth against ease.

One member writes that "Voyant scares me and seems to be a bit of a beast from what I have seen". Another answers the precision point with "you may as well be roughly right, than precisely wrong!" A third raises the risk that matters most to a firm linking tools together: "if there's an error in the data on the back office system then it gets pulled into the cashflow by default."

The vendors describe themselves in the same terms. Voyant's page presents AdviserGo as built for scenario analysis, plan comparison and support for trusts and other entities. FE CashCalc's page describes a cashflow modeller with deterministic, stochastic and gross modelling plus a set of calculators, and says mortgage and protection were added in June 2026 at no extra cost. That page gives the calculator count as "over 25" in one answer and "over 35" in another, so count the ones you would use.

The 2024 thread also names Truth, Evalue, Conquest, Timeline and Intelliflo's planning tool, which one member believes is now free to firms holding Intelligent Office licences. We did not check that or any of their prices.

## Five questions before you sign

1. **Who builds the plans?** If the paraplanner builds every plan, the paraplanner seat is the cost that differs most: free on one list, £1,200 a year on the other.
2. **Where do the figures come from?** Ask each vendor which back-office systems feed it, and who checks the feed. An error in the client record arrives in the plan unless someone looks.
3. **Will clients log in?** If not, ignore the client-access lines. If so, ask FE fundinfo in writing whether client access is inside the £80.
4. **Is VAT on top, and what is the term?** Get the monthly figure, the VAT treatment and the notice period in the quote.
5. **Can the plans leave with you?** Ask what you can export if you stop paying, and in what format.

## How this fits with the rest of the office

A cashflow plan is only as current as the fact-find behind it, and keeping that current is admin time. The [admin scorecard for advice firms](https://aeolookup.com/financial-advisers/admin-scorecard-financial-advice-firm-hours-ai/) counts those hours job by job, and the [workload plan for pensions and inheritance tax from 6 April 2027](https://aeolookup.com/financial-advisers/pension-iht-april-2027-workload-plan-advice-firm/) shows where cashflow work is about to grow.

Overlyft ![](https://aeolookup.com/img/d/ours-badge.png) is not a cashflow tool and is not in this comparison; an AI assistant it sets up prepares review packs and drafts reports on the firm's own template, whichever cashflow tool the firm uses. The adviser, and compliance where the firm's procedures require it, reviews and signs anything a tool drafts, including any plan or report built from these products.
