Adviser back-office software prices: who publishes them, and what a six-person advice firm pays a year
What UK adviser back-office suppliers publish about price: Plannr's £140 a month per employee, Intelliflo quote-only, Curo and Xplan unpublished, six people.

"How much does Intelliflo cost", "Intelliflo vs Plannr", "moving to Plannr from Intelligent Office": the back-office searches in this sector are about price and switching, and the pages that answer them are mostly demo forms. We read what was published on one day and worked it for one firm.
What this is, and is not. A desk check of pricing as published or reported on 1 October 2026. We did not trial any system. Two of the four suppliers publish no price, so their rows say so, and third-party figures are marked as such. Prices depend on users, modules and contract length; read the live page and your written quote before deciding.
What is published
| Supplier | Published price | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Plannr | £140 a month plus VAT per employee | Vendor's own page; free external licences for outsourced paraplanners and compliance; 50 or more staff on request |
| Intelliflo Intelligent Office | Quote only | Third parties report £130 to £135 per user per month for a wealth licence; not confirmed by the vendor |
| Curo (Time4Advice) | Not published | Third-party report only |
| Iress Xplan | Not published | Third-party report only |
The example firm
Two advisers, one paraplanner, two administrators, one compliance and operations manager: six people, all needing a seat. An outsourced paraplanner used occasionally, and an external compliance consultant.
The sums, where a price exists
| System | Basis | Per year |
|---|---|---|
| Plannr, six employees | £140 × 6 × 12, plus VAT | £10,080 plus VAT; external paraplanner and compliance seats free |
| Intelliflo, at the reported figure | £130 to £135 × 6 × 12 | £9,360 to £9,720, if the quote matched the third-party figure, which it may not |
| Curo, Xplan | quote | not calculable |
The free external licence is the line that matters for a small firm: an outsourced paraplanner or compliance consultant on Intelliflo is typically a paid seat, and the difference over a year can be the price gap.
What the price pages do not show
Migration. The forum thread on moving from Intelligent Office to Plannr has 348 views and three comments, none of them a completed migration; the questions are about data, not money. Migration is quoted separately by every supplier, takes months, and is the cost that decides most firms to stay. Cashflow tools (Voyant, FE CashCalc), client portals beyond the basic one, provider feeds and report-writing add-ons are extra or tier-dependent, and a full stack is reported by one adviser-software commentator to run comfortably into three figures per seat per month.
What the users say
The sector's main forum is sharper about Xplan (older threads, mostly negative) than about Plannr (newer, fewer threads, broadly positive), and about Intelliflo mostly in the context of integrations: it has over a hundred, which is why most AI report-writing tools integrate with it first. Those are not price items. They are the hours the administrators spend, which is the cost that never appears on the page.
Where Overlyft
fits
Overlyft does not sell a back-office system, and an assistant it sets up needs one to read from and write to. The four AI staff it sets up for a firm, the Review Coordinator, Report Drafter, File Checker and Document Chaser, work inside whichever system the firm runs, through the API where there is one (Plannr's is open; Intelliflo's exists with terms to check) and the inbox where there is not, drafting the review packs, the reports the file check tests and the chases, with the adviser signing every client-facing document. The comparison that matters to a principal is an administrator's salary against the cost of setting up an assistant, and that is a different page. This one is about the software.
