What we collect and why

  • Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, to send the newsletter you asked for (consent). You can unsubscribe from any email.
  • "Email me this result" on our free tools: your email address and the figures you typed into the tool, so we can send you the result you asked for (performance of a contract), and a copy of what we sent, kept for 12 months so we can answer questions about it (legitimate interests). The newsletter is only added if you tick the box.
  • Messages you send us: to reply to you (legitimate interests).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see below and our cookie policy.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider records IP addresses and requests to keep the site secure and working (legitimate interests).

Advertising

We show advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's earlier visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's My Ad Center, and from other vendors' personalised advertising at aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

In the UK, advertising and analytics cookies are only set after you agree. You can change your choice at any time under Privacy settings.

How long we keep it
